Greetings

Christianity is the religion of education.
It is based on the revelation of God, not on the thought of man, and it comes from the outside of the present time, so learn. "Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Mark 28:20) Jesus commanded us. Luther and Calvin insisted to the rulers of the time that everyone should be educated to be able to read the Bible and brought about the beginning of universal education that the world is practicing now. Thanks to education, most Protestant countries have become first world countries and Korea has joined the ranks. Because early missionaries to Korea established many schools, Korea was able to develop very quickly and the Korean church was able to grow so big.

Recently, developing countries have come to realize that human resources are the most important of all resources. After learning that Korea has developed quickly because of its emphasis on education, I have been looking forward to educational assistance from Korea to other countries. It's time for the Korean Church to make the most of this situation and use the education that the Bible emphasizes as its mission strategy. I believe that missionary work in the 21st century should be educational missions work.

Already, Korean missionaries have built about 800 schools in various missions sites, and 44 of them are universities. Among them, 17 of the larger universities have come together to form the Pan-Asian, African, American Universities Association (PAUA) in 2008 and received authorization as an incorporated association in 2017.

Educational missions will become the core of the Korean church missionary work, and will make the best use of the experience, passion, and knowledge of Korean church in the 21st century. I sincerely ask that the church and the saints pray, be alert, and participate.
